Two of our foundational physiological needs as humans. We take great pride in doing this important work for our family and our greater community.

Heartwood Insulation is owned by Joel and Annalisa Miller and based out of our small organic farm, Wild Miller Farm, in Palermo Maine. The same holistic principles that guide our organic farming have helped to guide our designs for how we want a sustainable insulation contracting business to look and work for ourselves and our community. 

Heartwood primarily operates on job sites between the months of November- April. The rest of the year is spent doing site visits, planning, consulting, spending time with family and taking part in the important work of organic farming. We find many similarities in these two kinds of work, both focus on finding solutions, looking to the future, and planning for sustainability while providing real, meaningful work for people.
